Georg Weber, a 10-year-old boy from Germany, disappeared on July 22, 1996, while vacationing in Death Valley, California, with his father, Egbert Rimkus, and Egbert's girlfriend, Cornelia Meyer, along with her young son, Max Meyer. The group was last seen at the Furnace Creek Visitor Center in Death Valley, where they purchased a booklet. Afterward, they reportedly headed towards the Panamint Mountains, an area known for its rugged and dangerous terrain.
