On the evening of May 17, 2024, one-year-old James Sorokin was last seen in Hobe Sound, Florida. According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System , James left his residence with his mother at approximately 9:00 p.m., in direct violation of existing court orders . The following morning, May 18, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., the mother and child boarded a flight to Istanbul, Turkey, with an ultimate destination of Russia . ,
