In the winter of 2025, the family of 28-year-old Raequan Jahmare-Steffon Brown grew concerned when weeks passed without any communication from him. A family member had last spoken to him by phone on January 7, 2025. Raequan, who may have been experiencing homelessness at the time, was officially reported missing to the Lansing Police Department on February 28 of that year. Friends and family endured many sleepless nights as the search for the young Lansing, Michigan, man continued with no promising leads. Descriptions provided by law enforcement noted that Raequan was approximately 6 feet tall and weighed around 170 pounds. The investigation into Raequan's disappearance took a devastating turn on March 25, 2025, when his body was discovered by a hunter in a wooded area in Oneida Township. The discovery was made in the area of Cochran Road near Eaton Highway, and Michigan State Police troopers and detectives were dispatched to the scene. The case was quickly classified as a homicide, prompting a thorough investigation by the Lansing Police Department, who asked the public for any information that could lead to answers in Raequan's death. The ensuing investigation, a collaborative effort between the Michigan State Police, the Lansing Police Department, and the Eaton County Sheriff's Office, uncovered a grim series of events. It was determined that Raequan's death was connected to the death of another man, Lance Pollo, whose body was found on February 10, 2025, near a burned, abandoned house. Investigators concluded that both men were shot and killed in the city of Lansing on the same day. Authorities believe Raequan was killed first, and his body was moved to the wooded area in an attempt to hide the crime. In February 2026, two Lansing residents, Timothy Ryan Galbraith and Trisha Leslie Bos, were arrested and faced charges, including open murder, in connection with the deaths of both Raequan Brown and Lance Pollo. The case that began as a search for a missing person concluded with a homicide investigation that uncovered the tragic deaths of two individuals and led to the arrests of those believed to be responsible.
