On November 4, 1985, 19-year-old Cathy Huffman was reported missing from Franklin, West Virginia. Her disappearance coincided with the catastrophic flooding that struck the region on November 4-5, 1985, resulting in 47 fatalities in West Virginia and causing approximately $1.2 billion in damages.
