Erik Gaunt, a 32-year-old diver from Georgia, was last seen on June 24, 2023, during a diving expedition near Deerfield Beach, Florida. He was diving from a commercial boat, Aqua Life, approximately one nautical mile east of Lighthouse Point. Erik failed to resurface, and the U.S. Coast Guard, along with partner agencies, initiated an extensive search effort spanning over 112 hours and covering an area the size of Massachusetts. Despite their exhaustive efforts, no trace of Erik was found.
