Ann Teresa Kipp, a 62-year-old contract driver for the nationwide courier RXO, led a life on the road, making deliveries across the country. While she maintained a mailing address in Decatur, Alabama, her work kept her perpetually in motion. In the fall of 2024, the regular rhythm of her life and communications came to a sudden and concerning halt. The last confirmed activity from Kipp was a delivery she made in Corinth, Mississippi, on October 10, 2024. Six days later, on October 16, she contacted her employer from Louisville, Kentucky, stating that she was not feeling well and needed to take a few days off. This was the last time anyone would hear from her directly. Her employer's attempts to reach her again were unsuccessful.

Concern grew when Kipp remained out of contact, and on November 3, 2024, she was officially reported missing to the Decatur Police Department. Investigators learned that after her call from Louisville, her employer had reason to believe she was in Scottsburg, Indiana, on October 20, though they were unable to make contact with her at that time. An alert was issued for Kipp and her vehicle, a distinctive blue 2018 Ford Transit cargo van with white 'RXO' decals on the doors and a Michigan license plate. For weeks, her whereabouts remained a mystery, prompting public appeals for any information that could help locate her or her van.

Tragically, the search for Ann Kipp concluded on December 19, 2024, when she was found deceased inside her work vehicle in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Indianapolis Police Department took over the investigation into her death. According to initial reports, investigators did not suspect foul play in her passing. The case that began with a routine call to take a few sick days ended in heartbreak, leaving behind questions and the sorrowful reality of a life that ended alone, far from home. The investigation sought to piece together her final days, from her last delivery and phone call to the moment she was discovered, bringing a sad resolution to a month-and-a-half-long search.
