In the early autumn of 2024, a journey undertaken with hope and the promise of reaching a destination turned into a period of anxious uncertainty for the family of Hassan Dawid Abdulkadir. On September 9th of that year, the 31-year-old man was traveling, making his way on foot and by the kindness of strangers as he hitchhiked towards Minnesota.
