In the late spring of 2011, a family's life was irrevocably altered by the sudden and unexplained absence of a loved one. On May 29, 2011, Rene Santos Escalante, a 37-year-old Hispanic man, disappeared from Tulsa, Oklahoma. The last known person to see him was his own brother, who visited with him at Rene's apartment.
