Just after midnight on May 25, 2025, gunfire shattered a small gathering on the 200 block of Depot Street in Pineview, Wilcox County. When investigators arrived, two people lay dead at the scene: Charleston Calix, 40, a male resident of Pineview, and Nathadius Kenta Lawson, 36. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said several people had been outside the home when someone began shooting, and both victims died where they fell.
