In the quiet community of Grandview, Tennessee, concern began to mount for 69-year-old Roxanne Marie Gallagher. A friend had last seen her on June 23, 2024, but as the days turned into weeks, her absence became more pronounced. The alarm was officially raised in late July when a neighbor made a troubling discovery: the door to Roxanne's home was ajar and her dog was running loose. Compounding the worry was the fact that her vehicle, a burgundy 2000 Buick LeSabre, had not been seen for some time. This series of events prompted a call to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, setting in motion a search for the missing woman.

As authorities delved into her disappearance, a few details emerged. Investigators learned that Roxanne had a medical condition that could potentially impair her ability to return home safely on her own. This information elevated the urgency of the search, and on August 2, 2024, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert in the hopes that the public could provide information on her whereabouts. The alert described Roxanne as a white female, 5'2' tall, weighing 130 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Information was also circulated about her car, a key element in the search. A potential lead surfaced from a Flock camera which captured a hit on her vehicle on Lantana Road on July 21, 2024, though the image was too dark to discern any specific details.

The search for Roxanne Gallagher came to a heartrending end on August 17, 2024. Her body was discovered in Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. Reports indicated that a submerged vehicle was spotted at Grider Hill Dock that Saturday morning. Dive crews responded to the scene and recovered the vehicle, finding Roxanne deceased inside. The vehicle was confirmed to be her maroon Buick LeSabre. The discovery brought a tragic conclusion to the weeks-long search that had begun with a neighbor's concern. The case, which started with an open door and a loose dog, concluded with the sad confirmation of her passing, leaving her loved ones to mourn their loss. While the circumstances of how her vehicle ended up in the lake have not been detailed, the recovery of her and her car closed the official search for the missing Grandview woman.
