Mary Michelle Sprague, 19 years old at the time, disappeared from Daytona Beach, Florida, on September 11, 1979. That evening, she had visited her workplace, a nightclub in the 300 block of Madison Avenue, to collect her paycheck and have a few drinks. She left the nightclub around 1:00 a.m. after an argument with her boss. A cab driver later reported that they had to evade a truck that appeared to be following them as they left the club. Mary was never seen again after that night.
At the time of her disappearance, Mary was working as an exotic dancer and was a mother to a young son. Her family did not believe she would have left her son behind voluntarily, raising suspicions of foul play. Mary’s case has remained unsolved for decades. Sadly, her son was later adopted by another family and has since passed away. Many of her close relatives, including her mother, are also deceased.
Despite extensive investigations, no significant leads have surfaced, and her case remains a mystery. Investigators continue to seek any information that could shed light on her disappearance.
