Robert G. Marvin, a 55-year-old geologist from Moab, Utah, went missing on September 4, 1984. He was last seen leaving his residence, telling his girlfriend he planned to visit Colorado to look at condominiums in Durango and Telluride. Marvin, who often traveled between Moab and Albuquerque for work, was reported missing two days later when his employer, Santa Fe Mining, called his home to check on him.
