Rhonda Karren, 31, was last seen on the evening of September 28, 1987, after returning from a work-related seminar in Salt Lake City, Utah. She dropped off a coworker around 10:30 PM before presumably heading back to her residence in Vernal. The following morning, Karren was scheduled to open the local K-Mart store but never arrived. Concerned, her mother visited her home and discovered signs of a struggle outside, prompting authorities to investigate.
