In June of 1992, 57-year-old Joseph Albert Criner Sr. vanished while traveling from his home in Marietta, Georgia, to visit his daughter in Augusta. He had spoken with her by phone, promising to meet for a Father's Day dinner. The exact date of his departure from Cobb County is uncertain, adding to the mystery that has now spanned decades.
