In August of 2010, forty-year-old Durrell Earl Summerour, a resident of Marietta, Georgia, embarked on a trip to Nashville, Tennessee, with a friend. The purpose of their journey was to sell a 1964 blue Chevrolet Impala. They reportedly left from Atlanta on August 15, 2010, to deliver the vehicle to two men in downtown Nashville.
