Shannon Rayanne Turner, a 33-year-old woman from Indianapolis, Indiana, was last seen on December 4, 1997. Shannon worked as an exotic dancer at Babe's Showgirls West, and she disappeared after finishing her shift in the early morning hours. At the time, her car was being repaired, so her boyfriend, David Mays—an enforcer for the Outlaws motorcycle gang—was picking her up from work. Shannon was last seen with Mays the day before her disappearance.

In the weeks leading up to her disappearance, Shannon had planned to end her relationship with Mays, canceling their marriage license appointment and deciding not to visit her family in Wisconsin for Thanksgiving as previously planned. After Shannon vanished, her dog was found abandoned in her backyard for several days, prompting neighbors to alert the authorities.

Despite extensive investigations and multiple searches in the Indianapolis area, no trace of Shannon has been found. Mays was imprisoned on unrelated charges and was later acquitted of any involvement in her disappearance. Although authorities have yet to solve the case, Shannon remains listed as missing, and her family continues to seek answers.
