Birehane Eshete Abate, a 36-year-old woman, was reported missing from Indianapolis, Indiana, on Sunday, June 23, 2019. She had only recently arrived in the United States from overseas on June 14, 2019, accompanying the family she worked for as a nanny. For nearly two years, she had been the caregiver for the family's children while they were abroad.
