Daniel Gerard Ryan, a 24-year-old man, went missing on August 15, 1998, from the Bronx, New York. Originally from Kilrush, County Clare in Ireland, Daniel had moved to the U.S. with his family in 1986. He was last seen leaving Bill & Bob's Sports Bar around 4 a.m. after a night of playing pool and discussing joining a billiards club in nearby Yonkers. At the time of his disappearance, Daniel was in good spirits according to witnesses.
He was described as having sandy blond hair, often worn in a ponytail, green eyes, and a medium build. Daniel also had a surgical scar from his chest to his navel and a smaller scar near his left eye. When he went missing, he was wearing a beige Marlboro baseball cap, a black long-sleeved shirt with white stripes, blue jeans, and sneakers. He left all of his personal belongings, including his passport, untouched in his family home in Yonkers.
Mysteriously, the bartender from the bar, who was one of the last to see Daniel, was shot and killed in 2000, though it is unclear whether this event is related to Daniel's case. Despite extensive investigations, Daniel has not been located, and his case remains unsolved.
