In the spring of 1999, a 38-year-old man named Gaudencio Carbajal vanished from his home in Phoenix, Arizona. On March 17th of that year, he was last seen at his residence in the area of 2200 North 47th Drive. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a long-sleeve, button-down beige shirt with a collar, khaki pants, and size 9 black athletic shoes. His family expressed their belief that he might be lost and confused. This was not the first time Gaudencio, who was also known by the nickname Lencho, had left his home; he had previously traveled to Mexico and other parts of the United States. Gaudencio Carbajal is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time he went missing, he stood between 5'6" and 5'8" tall and weighed between 260 and 270 pounds. He has several distinguishing physical characteristics that could aid in his identification. Notably, he is missing his two upper front teeth. He also has two pink, oval-shaped burn marks, each about the size of a silver dollar, on both of his wrists, and a small mark, the size of a pen point, on his right eyelid. It is also known that he lives with paranoid schizophrenia, which could contribute to a state of disorientation. The disappearance of Gaudencio Carbajal has remained an unresolved case for many years, leaving his loved ones without answers. The Phoenix Police Department is the investigating agency for his case, which was filed under the number 90460315. Despite the passage of time, the search for Gaudencio continues, with his information logged in national missing persons' databases. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are still unclear, with few details available beyond his last known location and his family's concerns for his well-being. The enduring hope is that someone, somewhere, will recognize him and provide the information needed to bring him home.
