In the early evening of March 21, 2000, 23-year-old Gregory Alonzo Vice, Jr., also known as Greg, left a relative's home in the Haughton/Princeton area of Louisiana. He was on his way to visit a friend in Taylortown, a journey that should have been unremarkable. Gregory was last seen in the vicinity of Willis Road and Highway 527 in Taylortown. At the time, he was wearing a black "Kenneth Cole" leather jacket, a t-shirt of an unknown color, black "Levi" jeans, and white "K-Swiss" athletic shoes. He also wore a gold and silver watch and an 18-inch silver chain. Distinctive features include a scar on his lower right abdomen, a tattoo of a white tiger on the back of his right shoulder, and a tattoo of a chain on his ankle. A few days after he was last seen, Gregory's dark brown 1984 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, distinguished by yellow pinstriping and wire rims, was found abandoned. Inside the vehicle, his wallet remained untouched. The discovery of his truck and personal belongings, coupled with the fact that he has not been seen or heard from since, has led authorities to suspect foul play in his disappearance. The friend he was going to visit reportedly told authorities he dropped Gregory off at a bar on Highway 1. Since his disappearance, the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office has been the primary investigating agency, and they have identified a person of interest, though no arrests have been made due to a lack of evidence. The case of Gregory Vice, Jr. remains an active and open investigation, a painful mystery for his family and community. Despite the passage of time, efforts to find answers continue. His family and law enforcement officials remain vigilant, holding out hope that someone will come forward with information that could shed light on what happened to him. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance—leaving to visit a friend and then vanishing, only for his vehicle to be found with his wallet inside—point towards a troubling and unresolved conclusion. The official classification of his case as one of endangered missing, with the suspicion of foul play, underscores the serious concerns for his welfare and the urgent need for resolution.
