Peggy Ilene Humber, 44, was last seen on June 23, 2000, leaving her home in Bakersfield, California. She had planned to either visit a friend in Oildale or go to a local store, but she never returned. Peggy was driving a maroon Dodge Intrepid, which was later found abandoned in the Sequoia National Forest, about 20 miles north of Johnsondale, California. There was no trace of her at the scene, and she has not been heard from since.
At the time of her disappearance, Peggy was known to frequent Native American casinos and other gambling establishments. She stood 5'10", weighed 145 pounds, and had a tattoo of a butterfly on her left foot. She also had facial acne scars and was wearing a pink shirt, denim shorts, sandals, and a cross necklace when she went missing.
