Samuel Bryan Dennis, a 29-year-old man, disappeared from Fort Wayne, Indiana, on October 7, 2000. He was last seen around 4:30 p.m. riding a red moped with a torn seat in the 1100 block of Swinney Avenue, near Typhoid Larry’s Burger Dairy. Samuel was wearing a dark-colored long-sleeved shirt, jeans, and Nike sneakers at the time of his disappearance.
Known for his tattoos—including a heart with the name "Wendy" on his right shoulder, a Tasmanian devil on his left shoulder, and a snake on his forearm—he also had a distinctive bald spot on the crown of his head.
Before his disappearance, Samuel had told his mother that "they’re going to kill me when I go home," though he didn’t specify who he was referring to or why. His mother invited him to move in with her, but he didn’t take her up on the offer. Samuel was close with his family, and his sudden disappearance was out of character. He never cashed his last paycheck, raising further concerns about foul play.
In 2009, a man serving a murder sentence confessed to killing Samuel, claiming the motive was revenge for an alleged crime against his child. He led investigators to a site where he said he buried the body, but no remains were found, and the man was never charged in connection to Samuel's disappearance. Despite this confession, Samuel's case remains unsolved, with foul play strongly suspected.
The Fort Wayne Police Department continues to investigate the case, hoping to bring closure to his family.Last Seen: Oct 7, 2000
