On the evening of October 16, 2000, Regina Bos, a 40-year-old musician and mother of three, was at Duggan's Pub in Lincoln, Nebraska, for an open mic night. She was a regular performer at the pub, where she also occasionally worked. Witnesses reported that she was in good spirits throughout the evening.
