Anwar Green, a 19-year-old from Newark, New Jersey, was last seen on January 19, 2001. He and his friend Rahim Martin went to cash a settlement check from a civil lawsuit at Independence Community Bank in downtown Newark. Martin successfully cashed his $8,000 check, but there was another check for $4,000 that was never cashed. Surveillance footage captured Green nervously glancing towards the door while at the bank.
