Hubert Valdez, a 28-year-old man, was last seen on April 29, 2003, in Van Horn, Texas. That night, Valdez was at Gilbert's Lounge, located on East Broadway, and left the bar around 2 a.m. Shortly after, his red Chevrolet pickup truck was found abandoned in an open lot near Mesquite Street and Frontage Road, a short distance from where he was last seen. Witnesses reported seeing Valdez involved in a physical altercation with four men near his truck. Since then, three of the men have passed away, while the fourth, identified as Simon Flores Ornelas, is currently imprisoned in Mexico. Ornelas fled to Mexico after being convicted of unrelated charges in the U.S. and is considered a key person of interest.

Valdez’s case remains open, with local authorities, including the Texas Rangers, continuing their investigation and seeking any leads that may help solve the case. Despite years of searching, no new significant developments have been made, leaving his family without answers regarding his disappearance.
