Scott Matthew Sells, a 19-year-old from Eugene, Oregon, was last seen in the early morning hours of September 12, 2003, at a family member's residence near Adams Street and West 4th Avenue in Eugene. At the time of his disappearance, Scott suffered from schizophrenia and required medication, which added urgency to the search efforts. He also had a history of drug use, including heroin and methamphetamine, and his condition left him vulnerable.
