Brian Christopher Jones, age 37, was last seen on September 24, 2011, while climbing North Sister Mountain in the Three Sisters Wilderness near Eugene, Oregon. During the climb, his companion witnessed Jones slip on the steep, gravelly slope of the mountain. He tumbled down approximately 1,000 feet off a sheer cliff.
