Daniel Patrick DeSimone, a 45-year-old man, was last seen on April 19, 2005, in the Pahoa area of Hawaii. He left his home in the Nanawale Estates around 10:00 a.m., reportedly heading downtown to collect cans and bottles, a regular activity for him. He was last seen around 3:00 p.m. in the Pahoa Marketplace. Daniel, who had autism and required assistance with daily tasks, was described as mentally handicapped and incapable of fully caring for himself.
