Brandy Hanna, 32, was last seen on May 20, 2005, in Charleston, South Carolina. After finishing her shift as a waitress at Alex's Restaurant, she returned to her apartment on Florida Avenue. She was in contact with her mother that evening and sent text messages to friends at around 8:00 p.m. and 10:19 p.m. A friend arrived at her apartment later that night for a planned shopping trip but received no response when knocking on the door. Brandy has not been seen or heard from since.
