Russell Matthew Gonzales, aged 41, was last heard from on January 9, 2006, in the Eugene, Oregon area. He was reportedly en route to the Coos Bay/North Bend region of Oregon but never arrived at his destination. After he went missing, an extensive search began, and in July 2006, authorities discovered his blue 1986 Volkswagen Quantum on a remote Forest Service road (FS 5847 MP 8), located south of Eugene. Despite this clue, there has been no further information on his whereabouts.
