On April 7, 1975, 17-year-old Steven Eugene Anderson disappeared from the New Lisbon State School in New Jersey, a facility for developmentally disabled individuals. He was last seen walking with his 12-year-old roommate, David Williams, after playing at a nearby ball field. Both boys, who were unable to care for themselves due to their disabilities, were heading back to their residence on the school campus but never arrived.
