Maria Anjiras, a 14-year-old from Norwalk, Connecticut, went missing on February 12, 1976. She was last seen leaving her home on a blue English racing bicycle, which was later found abandoned about a mile from her residence. That day, Maria was supposed to attend a vocal lesson and babysit, but she never showed up for either. Her father, who had seen her earlier that day, reported her missing when she failed to return home.
