Alexander Edwin Shaw, 23, disappeared on March 15, 1982, after being involved in a mysterious car accident in Wagram, North Carolina. His green 1972 Buick was discovered crashed into a pine tree off Highway 40. The headlights were on, and the keys remained in the ignition, but there was no sign of Shaw at the scene. Despite an extensive search involving local law enforcement, the National Guard, and the Army, no trace of Shaw has ever been found.
