Stuart Garbowitz, 26 years old at the time, disappeared on March 25, 1982, while skiing in the Truckee, California area. Garbowitz and his companion, Robert Novick, skied out of bounds and became lost. Tragically, while Novick’s body was later found, Garbowitz was never located. Despite searches, no trace of him has surfaced since that day.
