Charles Sylvester Sanford, age 28, was last seen on December 28, 1983, at his parents' home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. At the time, Sanford, an unemployed accountant, lived with his parents and received regular phone calls from a woman, whom his family never met. He described her as a nurse but never shared her name. These calls stopped after his disappearance.
