Gayle Marie Marks, an 18-year-old woman, disappeared on October 18, 1988, from Stockton, California. She was last seen after visiting the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to get an identification card, which was later mailed to her home, confirming she had completed her errand. After leaving the DMV, Gayle called her mother but left a voicemail without indicating any distress.
