Six-year-old Crystal Ann Tymich disappeared on June 30, 1994, from the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles, California. On that day, Crystal had been playing outside with her three brothers near their home on Brynhurst Avenue. While the boys were riding their bicycles ahead of her, they briefly lost sight of Crystal. When they turned around to call her back inside, she was gone. She was last seen between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m., reportedly picking peaches from a neighbor's tree.
Despite a massive search effort, no trace of her was found.
Crystal's disappearance remains unsolved, though authorities believe she may have been abducted by a non-family member. In 2005, police searched a neighbor's home based on a tip, but the bones found were later confirmed to be from animals, not linked to Crystal. Over the years, there have been no significant leads, although occasional potential sightings were reported without any further developments.
