Elmer L. Ross, a 77-year-old resident of Highland Home, Alabama, was last seen in the early hours of October 26, 1998, around 1:30 a.m. He disappeared from his home and has not been seen since. At the time of his disappearance, Ross was in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease, leading authorities to believe he may have wandered away in a confused state. It is also possible that he could have accepted a ride from someone.
