In the pre-dawn hours of October 26, 1998, a 77-year-old man named Elmer L. Ross was seen for the last time at his home in the quiet community of Highland Home, Alabama. At approximately 1:30 a.m., he vanished, leaving behind a life and a family with no clear answers as to what became of him.
