Mark Allen Husk, 49, was last seen on October 12, 2003, at his home in Ferrisburgh, Vermont. His family did not report him missing until November 5, 2003, nearly three weeks after his disappearance. Mark, an avid outdoorsman, was known for traveling alone across the country, often by bus or train. His solitary lifestyle and tendency to go long periods without contacting family contributed to the delayed reporting of his absence.
