Kimberly Faye Thrower, a 16-year-old from Laurinburg, North Carolina, was last seen on the morning of April 29, 2004, waiting at her bus stop around 7:00 a.m. She was supposed to attend classes at Scotland High School that day but never arrived. Witnesses reported seeing Kimberly with an unidentified African-American man, who put his arm around her before they were seen heading into the woods. This was the last known sighting of her, and she has not been heard from since.
