Tommie Eugene Jackson, a 49-year-old man, was last seen on January 11, 2007, in St. Augustine, Florida. That morning, Jackson followed his daily routine of dropping off his young daughter at Cathedral Parish School on St. George Street. Afterward, he was expected to return home to complete chores and then prepare for his 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. shift at a rest area off Interstate 95.
However, Jackson never made it to work that day, and when his wife tried to call him later in the afternoon, the call went straight to voicemail.
There is evidence suggesting that Jackson did return home after dropping off his daughter, but he has not been seen or heard from since. His vehicle, a gray 1989 Pontiac 6000, also disappeared. The car was reportedly in poor condition, leading his wife to believe that he wouldn't have been able to travel far in it.
Jackson had a history of depression, but his family and investigators do not believe that his mental health contributed to his disappearance, as there was no indication that he was suicidal. He was described as reliable, and his sudden disappearance was out of character. Despite investigations, no significant leads have been found, and both Jackson and his vehicle remain missing.
