Christine Marie Eastin, a 19-year-old woman, went missing on the night of January 18, 1971, in Hayward, California. She was last seen around 10:00 p.m. after borrowing her ex-boyfriend's 1969 Ford Maverick to run errands, including shopping and getting the car washed. Christine had planned to pick up her ex-boyfriend from his job at a Jack in the Box restaurant later that night but never arrived.
