Kim Louise Mallon, age 13, was last seen on September 30, 1973, in Los Angeles, California. At the time of her disappearance, Kim was a patient at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital, where she was receiving treatment. On the day she vanished, Kim was wearing a blue knit pullover blouse, white corduroy bell-bottom pants, multicolored oxford shoes, and a silver and turquoise pendant necklace. She had brown hair, blue eyes, and scars on both wrists.
Authorities believe she may have been using the alias "Rhonda Kay Mallon" or her birth name, Rhonda Kay Lytton.
Kim’s disappearance is considered suspicious, and despite decades of investigation, no significant leads have emerged. The hospital where she was last seen has since been renamed, but her case remains open. Her family and authorities continue to seek any information that could bring resolution to the case. Kim’s case is classified as endangered missing, and foul play is suspected.
