Paul Allen Allard, a 14-year-old boy, went missing on August 30, 1976, while visiting relatives in Miami, Florida. Prior to his disappearance, Paul had injured his left hand, which was taped due to the severity of the injury, and he was scheduled to have two of his fingers amputated upon his return home. On the day he disappeared, Paul called his mother, asking to come home to Connecticut. Arrangements were made for an uncle to pick him up, but when his uncle arrived, Paul was gone.
