Angela Elaine Allen, a 28-year-old woman from Syracuse, New York, was last seen on December 26, 1979. That morning, she briefly spoke to her mother over the phone, mentioning she was too tired to talk and would call back later. Later that day, Angela was last seen near her apartment on South Salina Street, where she lived with her husband, Hubert James Allen, and their two children. She reportedly left to go shopping but never returned. Her mother filed a missing person report two days later, after not hearing from Angela.

Angela’s disappearance raised suspicions, particularly around her husband. Hubert, later convicted of murdering a girlfriend and their child in 1985, is believed to have been involved in Angela’s case. His girlfriend at the time provided information to the police implicating him in Angela’s disappearance. Despite thorough investigations, Angela’s body was never found. Authorities suspect her remains may be buried in areas the couple frequented, such as the Onondaga Indian Nation territory or local salt pits.

Angela’s case remains unsolved, and while Hubert has been imprisoned for other crimes, he has not been charged in connection to her disappearance.
