Douglas Edward Meer, a 25-year-old student at the University of Colorado-Boulder, was last heard from on March 29, 1982. Meer, who was also employed at King Soopers, had left Boulder on March 26 and arrived in Las Vegas the following day. He contacted his mother on March 29, informing her that he was out of money and planned to return to Boulder. However, he never made it back home.
