Russell Mort, a 2-year-old boy, went missing on May 5, 1982, from the backyard of his family's home at Lynch’s Trailer Park in Wheatfield, near Niagara Falls, New York. He was last seen playing in a fenced yard while his mother briefly stepped inside to fix a toy. When she returned, Russell had vanished, and despite the fence being locked from the outside, he was gone. A massive search ensued, but no trace of him was found.
