Raymond Lee Hunley Jr., a 19-year-old man from Portland, Indiana, went missing on December 6, 1982. He was last seen playing basketball at the Army National Guard Armory in Portland. After his disappearance, his car was found abandoned with the engine still running, and his newly purchased clothes inside. There were no signs of struggle or any indication of what may have happened to him at the scene.
