Bill Neyenesch, 38, was last seen on June 2, 1983, in San Diego, California. His car was found parked at the Cabrillo Marina, where he kept his 30-foot sailboat, the *Stuffit*. Both Neyenesch and his boat were missing, and despite an extensive Coast Guard search, no traces of him or the vessel were found. At the time, Neyenesch was facing significant personal struggles, including a pending divorce and business pressures after being fired from his family’s printing company the previous year.
