Kristina Joanne Porco, a 16-year-old girl, went missing on November 29, 1986, from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. That evening, after having an argument with her mother over her curfew, Kristina left their apartment in the Woodlake Villas complex around 10:30 p.m. She later called a friend from a nearby phone booth and asked if she could spend the night, but the friend's mother didn't allow it.
